Sorry families- I've been a little overwhelmed getting this year going.
Last week we worked on sound- with a major focus on the smallest particles that make us up and how sound is transmitted. Students were able to make their own phones and discuss how sound moved across tight wires. I was very excited to see some students break off from the initial example experiment and try to connect multiple phones, cross wires, and even try to make longer phones. It was a fun week, hopefully you at home have enjoyed playing with our experiments.
This week we will be working on dinosaurs. I want to focus on the different types of dinos, the many periods when dinos lived, and especially fossils. Hopefully our experiment will be on fossils, making some of our own and even excavating (if all goes well :)
Be safe this Halloween!
